Right now the atmosphere seems alive with fighting. But is it the right fight? Today there is conflict between each other, families, the world and corporations. Just venture onto social media and in seconds you can find multiple struggles to participate in. We are fighting anything and everything; there are no shortages of fights nowadays.

Everyone is upset and everyones in a fighting mood. As a result, we are investing huge amounts of effort, time and energy into, well… basically into destroying each other, all in the name of a good cause.  And worse, christians are smack dab in the middle of these fights. Unfortunately, these aren’t even good fights, most of us are all caught in some meaningless fight.

the right fight, anger, toxic

While we invest so much in meaningless fighting, people right now all over the world are battling for loved ones, for their health, for their finances, for their sanity. Subsequently people are sick and dying because we don’t see the real battle right before us.  Who’s to say we aren’t actually keeping people sick because of our actions or lack thereof.

If christians stopped fighting each other and everything around them, and started fighting the right fight who’s to say that things wouldn’t drastically get better.  Who’s to say that people might instantly be healed or miracles start to happen. So what’s the answer?  Stop fighting your fight and start fighting Gods fight.

Some fights might be noble and just, but even those, are they really the right fight?  Many people have such pure hearts and want to to stand against real injustices. But at the end of the day you have to ask yourself “Is this my fight”?  “Is this what I was put on this earth for?”  I only have so much energy and time. I want to make sure its focused in the right direction, on the right fight.

There is dishonor in the house of God.

There is a real war happening right now and it’s not where or against what you would think. The war now is ultimately against the Honor of God, against the Kingdom of God, and consequently, the atmosphere is teaming with hostility towards Heaven. There is an onslaught against heaven trying to pull down, disparage, and question every good thing God has done.  God is being accused, marred and attacked, and not just by the world.  Christians are falling into this trap as well, and are participating with darkness against Heaven.

This is not right. There is dishonor in the church towards God and within ourselves right now everyday.  And yet we still busy ourselves with so many other useless fights, all in the name of a good cause.  No wonder people are sick. No wonder people are dying. No wonder why God may appear to be far away.

The God of the universe is standing there in all His splendor, in all His innocence, in all His glory, doing nothing but good for us. And darkness is railing against Him, mocking Him.
What will your response be?

I have had enough.  My spiritual mood is WAR.

the right fight, battle

Today if the prophets of God and the prophets of Baal were to go up a mountain to fight, like they did in the Bible, it would be hard to distinguish the two groups.  They would look so similar.  What really needs to happen is a third group needs to arise with the true heart of God and put the other two groups to death.

Where are the David’s that say “Enough defiling, enough disgrace! I will defend the Honor of the Lord.”

Where are the women that break through the crowds of religion and injustice to pour out oil upon Jesus and stop the dishonor?

Where are the men and women who say “You will not treat my God that way!”

Where are the Stephens that stand up to the angry mob and bring Heaven to its feet?

These are right fights! These people from the Bible were fighting the right fight.  The fight for Gods Honor, the fight for His Kingdom.

The War Within

But how can we start the fight outwardly if inwardly we have so many associations with darkness? Instead of looking all around at everyone else and trying to fight all the injustices happening, just look inside.  What injustices are within that bring dishonor and shame to the Kingdom of God.   What’s in our hearts that is dark and doesn’t belong? We need to push back, fight, resist, tear down, uproot, and go to war against everything within us that doesn’t honor God.

the right fight, the war within

“Some of us need to run into the tents of our hearts and put a spear through the dishonor that is happening”.

Most of us are in relationships with darkness that we need to sever.  We have associations and connections that are just wrong, we feed and nurture our insecurities, our fears, our doubts. At times, we can be more comfortable with darkness than we are with God.  We listen to voices that say things will never change, that people will never be healed, that God isn’t interested right now, that He is unreliable, that God won’t be able to do what He said.  These lies need to be put to death!

We have things inside of us that don’t reflect God, that don’t belong. We need to break away from these abusive relationships within.  We need to stop associating with darkness. Some of us need to run into the tents of our hearts and put a spear through the dishonor that is happening.

Sever Darkness

the right fight, my spiritual mood is WAR

Would you associate with people who no longer share your values, or oppose those who you love or admire? No. You would disconnect yourself from them. You wouldn’t say,  “Yes I know you hate everything I stand for and believe in, and despise the people I love, but let’s be friends still”.  Not at all, we would disassociate ourselves from this.  But yet inwardly that is what we are doing.  Darkness hates our Heavenly Father, our family and wants to destroy them. Yet we still hang out with it.

WAR!

Enough! We must go to war! War against those things inside you that aren’t of God, those associations, those relationships.  It’s time to breakup with darkness, to fall out of love with it. God deserves a people whose hearts completely belong to Him and aren’t immersed in the world and darkness. He deserves us to look like Him and care about what He cares about, not participate with the conflicts the world is upset about. Our hearts should not be so entangled with the world that it’s difficult to tell us apart. We should be stirred up by Heaven, not worked up by the world.

Go to war against the doubt, unbelief, fear, bad attitudes, religion, anger, unforgiveness, jealousy and gossip. Stop associating with the enemy; stop tearing people down. Cut off relationships with darkness and stop feeding the enemy. This is not who you are or who God intended you to be. Soften your heart and really let God come in and help you.

Tear down the injustices against God within us, stop the dishonor within us. Stop pointing the finger at everything else.  Put to death what isn’t of God and breathe life into what is. If you’re looking for a fight this is a good place to start.  I would even say, it is a good fight.
