No matter how strong the enemy looks, God is about to demonstrate that He is stronger.
Exodus 14:13 But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you.”
2 Chronicles 20:15 “This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.”
2 Chronicles 20:17 “But you will not even need to fight. Take your positions; then stand still and watch the Lord’s victory. He is with you..”
1 Samuel 12:16 “Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes!”
God is about to do something amazing!
Imagine standing at the red sea with nowhere to go and all of Egypt’s armies bearing down on you. It must have been terrifying and hopeless.
So many times through the bible the enemy looked liked he was about to win, to conquer, to destroy. That all was lost but time after time God proved Himself faithful.
EXODUS 15:9-11
The enemy said, “I’ll pursue, I’ll overtake,
I’ll divide the spoils of war.
I’ll be overfilled with them.
I’ll draw my sword; my hand will destroy them.”
10 You blew with your wind; the sea covered over them.
They sank like lead in the towering waters.
11 Who is like you among the gods, Lord?
Who is like you, foremost in holiness,
worthy of highest praise, doing awesome deeds?
No matter what it looks like now, remember God is about to demonstrate His power. No matter how strong the enemy looks, remember God is stronger. No matter how loud the enemy boast and taunts remember that God is more then capable of delivering and rescuing you.
Don’t be afraid, look up and see the salvation of the Lord.
